Individual parts can be tracked using 1D Barcodes / 2D data matrix codes / RFID tags. These are produced by either laser systems, chemical etch systems or printed labels and read using our own reading technologies.

Marking small codes on individual components has been a major problem in the past- but not anymore!

Using laser technology developed for marking individual products / components in the aerospace industry we are able to adopt this technology and provide a solution.

2D data matrix bar codes can be laser etched on to the smallest of products / components. The code comprises of a square of dots. This is able to store much more information than the traditional linear bar code and provides a unique identifier for the products / component.

The code is read by our 2D data matrix bar code readers. The unique number once read is relayed automatically to the computer data base via our 2D Vision software.

The same technology will also allow laser printing of human readable codes. These allow quick manual identification of products by the operator and can be used to audit the integrity of any marked parts. We will work with customers to provide the identification needed.
